Our client is a leading European defence company that develops and manufactures missiles and missile systems. The company plays a vital role in innovative defense solutions to ensure the security of nations worldwide.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer – Mission Planning – SPEAR 3 to join our team, with extensive years of experience in that arena. The ideal candidate will have good standing within the defence group and have background experience in systems engineers. Specific familiarity in the planning of a mission, verification, project management, and Documentation is what we require from an Engineer who promotes a mindset of detail, communication, and teamwork within its re team.
Responsibilities
- Mission Planning: Provide guidance and support for mission planning deliverables to the SPEAR programme.
- Requirements management: Full requirement management towards SOI-DOORS (creation, updates/validation/verification): supplier integration and DOORS experience.
- Documentation: Produce detailed technical documentation with respect to engineering requirements and accompanying documentation.
- Process planning and work package management.
- Documentation review – subsystems, customer, work package.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

- Broad-oriented experience in systems engineering, preferably within the defence or aerospace industry
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Proficient in project management practices and tools, including schedule management, risk analysis, and resource allocation
- Brief acquaintance with applicable industry standards and regulations such as MIL-STD, DO-178C, and DO-254 is desirable
- Possibly eligible for security clearance (based on the requirements of the project)
