Project Engineer

A Project Engineer engages in the coordination of production vehicle projects with various cross-disciplinary teams to finalize mechanical component delivery according to time and cost specifications. Merges from supply chain activity management, project activity progress tracking, risk assessment support, and participation in significant project meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Production Planning and Change Control Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the project plan for current production vehicles liaising with engineering, purchasing, logistics and quality to ensure the delivery requirements of vehicle components are met timely and within budget.
• Assist the Senior Project Engineer in the execution and creation of the project schedule, action plan and tracking.
• Planning, monitoring and executing project activities to ensure delivery is according to targets and deliverables
• Work alongside other departments in coordinating and providing direction on the supply chain to ensure that components are delivered to support the timing of validation and implementation.
• Participate in important meetings about the project.
• Help in report preparation for project performance and risk assessment.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Prior exposure either in Automotive, Aerospace space or Footwear and Garments industry or few manufacturing environments.
• Work experience involving multiple sector project delivery is an added advantage.
• Holds Mechanical or Automotive Engineering qualifications or equivalent.
• Very high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive team player able to successfully cope with tight deadlines whilst ensuring quality performance.
