The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project is the next major water resource for Western Australia; it is a seawater desalination plant found in Alkimos. Up to 50 billion litres of clean drinking water will be made available to millions of Western Australians beginning in 2028 as the first set of production takes flight. This comprises design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the plant: marine works, tunnels, seawater inlet, reverse osmosis desalination, groundwater systems, storage, and pumping infrastructure.

An Electrical Engineer:

• The day-to-day activities of the construction involved in the project will be managed.
• Install schedules for Fibre and ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) will be developed, monitored, and controlled.
• Site installation activities will be planned, organized, and implemented according to all applicable requirements.
• Monitor and report workforce and subcontractor performance to technical, safety, quality, environment, and commercial standards.
• Attend design reviews providing an insight into constructability, safety issues, and site access.
• Manage the Input and change of the Project Scope, Deliverables, Schedule, and Budget.

Prerequisites

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or in any related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical systems, especially in construction, industrial, or utility environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Experience utilizing electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Understanding of applicable safety regulations and standards (AS/NZS, IEC, etc.).
