Lead Delivery Manager – Currys Technology & Enterprise Pillar

Currys is looking for a Lead Delivery Manager having the responsibility for overseeing the delivery of high-value, complex technology initiatives across multiple domains in Technology, Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance, Finance, and People Systems for its 25,000 employees.

Position Overview of Role:

  • Head and manage the delivery of several technology projects costing between £3-7 million.
  • Create an effective relationship with business stakeholders in order to understand their requirements and deliver value.
  • Specify and implement delivery strategies managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communications, and risks.
  • Coordinate the delivery teams and third parties with other managers to manage their dependencies and integration points.
  • Ensure visible reporting and escalate issues to the senior management.
  • Promote agility and lean methodologies to develop innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Coaching and mentoring in skills and capabilities to delivery teams.

Primary Current Assignment:

  • Driving the Payroll Evolution initiative which transforms Currys’ payroll system to a modern platform housing 25,000 employees.
  • Support critical strategic technology-enabled projects in ensuring a robust and resilient technology foundation.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience of more than 5 years in delivering large complex technology projects- ideally from full-scale implementation into larger organizations (FTSE250 or first-ranked profesional services).
  • Expert in People and Payroll systems and how to manage difficult legacy payroll environments.
  • Very aware of leading trends in technology for enterprise such as SAP or SuccessFactors .
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to organize and build successful teams.
  • Highly organized with great planning, prioritization, and problem-solving capability.
  • Resilient and adaptable to fast-paced dynamic environments.
  • Budget and financial benefits management for programs more than 3 million.
