Qualification & Experience
Education:
Master’s degree in Climate Change, Disaster Management, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Water resource management or other relevant field to international development assistance in Resilience OR bachelor’s degree with extra 2 years of related work experience.
Experience
At least 7 years professional experience as a manager working in climate adaptation, Resilience, Livelihoods and Community Based DRM at policy and implementation levels. Familiarity with GCF funded projects is preferred.
Demonstrated ability in managing results-based projects/programs including creation, implementation and monitoring of logical frameworks and theories of change.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in climate change policies, guidelines, and adaption programs.
- Deep knowledge the GCF processes of project implementation.
- Substantial experience working with major government’s ministries and authorities such as Planning & Development Department, Agriculture Department, Ministry of Climate Change, Economic Affairs Division, NDMA, PDMAs, and Provincial Line Departments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptionally able to coordinate and collaborate with diverse groups of partners, especially government bodies and UN agencies, in order to build effective strategic partnerships.
- Successfully set up by initiation-designing, executing programs with government and UN counterparts under institutionalized arrangements designed to cause long-lasting, positive impacts on local communities.
- High quality writing capability in preparing documents internal and external as clear, concise and well structured.
- Leading a project team with support from country office in the relevant field.
Language:
Fluency (level C) in English language, Urdu, and other local languages
