About the Role
Project Engineer is responsible to coordinate and control projects from conceptual stages through the launch of the postproduction so that delivery is based on meeting specified time, cost, and quality requirements as outlined by the company’s quality policy and processes.
Responsibilities
- System design and selection/design of electro-mechanical installation hardware, which shall comply with established standards and contractual specifications.
- Analysis/determination of contractual requirements in engineering technical terms-and-to the appropriate customer expectations:
- Preparation of specifications, test instructions, reports, and plans
- Work packages to be created in enough detail for the drawing office to produce Engineering drawings, Bill of Materials and parts lists.
- Liaise with customers, other departments and sub-contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Good technical awareness and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent knowledge of design for manufacture/maintenance
- Substantial experience in a relevant technical eg aerospace and defence or safety critical project engineering environment
- Good appreciation of Health & Safety issues concerning complex engineering projects.
- Familiarity or experience with Solid Works or Autodesk CAD packages
- Prince 2 or APM qualification
- A first degree in an engineering discipline.
- You must be eligible for UK SC level security clearance and have the right to work in the UK.
